MIKHAEL CONTI

MY MISSION:
sustainable fishing and environmental protection

It was the year 1994 when the Mitchell caps with red net and Shimano double blade reels were in fashion, that already at the age of 5, rod in hand, I approached the “lake trout fishing”.

It didn't take much to understand that it was not simply a pastime, but a real passion and over time the desire to be in the midst of nature and the dream of catching the perfect fish pushed me to approach trout fishing in natural environments. .

Thus was born my great love for fishing.

Fortunately, Valtellina, being one of the largest water concessions in northern Italy, has been able to offer me the best gym for this sport over the years. From the very beginning, spinning, a technique still not practiced in the valley at the time, and in recent years also the fly have been the input for me to start following certain ideologies including catch & release to be able to practice more and more sustainable fishing that respects in the best possible way the wild fish fauna of these rivers and lakes that characterize this Valley.

Today, after many years, after having gained experience in numerous environments with different conditions, I realize that I know little and there is still a lot to learn; this is fishing: a continuous discovery in which one must know how to put oneself on the line every time, adaptability and patience are fundamental as well as among the first virtues that - every good fisherman learns from - teaches this sport.
